Resilience, 1631 holes

Resilience, 1631 holes was a concept by artist Hannah Honeywill and was designed as a digital artwork response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We collaborated on filming and editing the piece. The soundtrack contains two audio interviews which detail very different personal experiences during lockdown. Simultanously, Artist Hannah Honeywill constructs , drills and fills 1631 holes into a flat-packed wooden chair. Each hole represents one person who died from Covid-19 on the 26th January 2021, the day the total death toll for the UK hit 100,000. The work was commissioned by Life Futures.
